Whatever the weather, there are lots of places to visit in East Lothian, whether history is your thing, wildlife or maybe the thrill of putting a bet on the horses - at Musselburgh Racecourse whatever takes you fancy, East Lothian will have something on offer.
If you are looking to do something with the family, many of our attractions are great to take the kids to, from hands on interactive galleries at the National Museum of Flight where you can have a go on a flight simulator or operate cameras on the bass rock and see gannets and seals up close at the Seabird Centre.
Step back in time and discover our rich heritage with a visit to Tantallon Castle perched high on the cliff tops near North Berwick or see the longest herbaceous border at Dirleton Castle. St Mary's Church in Haddington is Scotland's largest church and a visit to Newhailes in Musselburgh, a restored 17th century manor is a must. And how could you visit Scotland without a wee dram at our own Glenkinchie Distillery!
